Final report meeting for a two year project investigating the demographics and ecclesiology of new black majority churches in the London Borough of Southwark

The final report for the two year project, Being Built Together, will be presented in the Garry Weston Library at Southwark Cathedral from 6.00pm on Thursday 20th June 2013 (nearest station London Bridge, refreshments provided).

Led by Dr Andrew Rogers at the University of Roehampton, the project has been partnered by Southwark for Jesus, Churches Together in South London, and a number of other church and local authority bodies. Andrew will be speaking to the report, identifying the key issues arising from extensive ethnographic and demographic research within the black majority churches of the Borough. The issue of premises for new churches has been a particular focus, and the report will be making recommendations for the way forward, based on the research.

Places are limited, so if you are interested in attending, please email our event organiser, Rosemarie Davidson-Gotobed, at bbt@roehampton.ac.uk stating your particular interest in the event.
