The German Protestant Development Service, Bread for the World Germany and a number of German mission agencies are organizing an international, theological consultation under the theme „Cultural roots, cultural transition, understanding of faith and cooperation in development“.

The aim of this consultation is to look at the charismatization processes in African Protestant churches and the growth of the Pentecostal / charismatic movements on the continents, and to discuss the impact of these processes on development cooperation between the German Protestant agencies and African churches and NGOs. This is a consultation with a close church connection, but one that brings together academics and development professionals rather than church leaders. More information can be found in the programme.
