The conference will celebrate the centenary of the first Pentecostal meetings in the UK, which took place in Sunderland in the north east of England in 1907.

The aim of the Centenary Conference is to explore the theological, historical and sociological background to the beginnings of the Pentecostal Movement in Britain and the consequences of those origins today.

Speakers include Bishop Tom Wright, Prof Allan Anderson, Dr Mark Cartledge, and Dr William Kay.

Work in progress by researchers is invited, on aspects of Pentecostal origins, history and present practice.  This may be of especial interest to post-graduate students, but we also invite drafts of papers currently in preparation.

The program and further details can be found at http://www.dur.ac.uk/st-johns.college/conference/education.htm.
