Dr Minna Opas is Academy of Finland Postdoctoral Fellow in Comparative Religion at the University of Turku, Finland.
In her current research project ’Materiality and Immateriality in Indigenous Amazonian Christianities’ (2011-2014) she examines questions of materiality in contemporary forms of everyday lived Christianities among Amazonian indigenous peoples, the Evangelical/Pentacostal Yine people living in the Peruvian Amazonia, in particular.
Her next research project (2015-2017) as Collegium researcher at the Turku Institute for Advanced Studies (TIAS) will explore religious imagination and modernisation among these same Charismatic Christian groups.
